My Story
Hi, I'm A.D.
ICU nurse, CVICU staff nurse, unit-based educator, and the person behind every class at Pulse Check Training.
My Story
I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's in Biology in 2019, then completed Mercer University's Accelerated BSN program in 2020. I started my nursing career in the Trauma ICU at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center before transitioning to the Cardiovascular ICU at Piedmont Atlanta, where I now work as a CVICU staff nurse and unit-based educator.
Through precepting and teaching cardiac device classes, I discovered my passion for education and helping clinicians feel confident, prepared, and supported. I'm currently earning my MSN in Nursing Education at Capella University, with an anticipated graduation of December 2026, and bringing that educator mindset into every class I teach.
I'm a proud Ghanaian-American, a mom to two boy cats, and I really love eggs. Education should feel supportive, not stressful โ and that's exactly what Pulse Check Training is about.
